Verdantas is seeking an Environmental Engineer Intern to join our collaborative team and gain hands-on experience in solving real-world environmental challenges. This internship offers the opportunity to work alongside engineers, geologists, and scientists on impactful projects, contributing to fieldwork, data analysis, and technical design. Requirements

  • Senior pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering, Geology, or Environmental Sciences
  • Relevant courses related to principles of environmental engineering, geology, or similar
  • Proficient in MS Office products
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Able to conduct some fieldwork with occasional heavy lifting
  • Must be able to write effectively and articulate outcomes to clients and team members
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER training

Nice To Haves

  • Internship or coop experience
  • Experience in ArcGIS and AutoCAD
  • Affiliation and/or certifications with professional associations and networking capabilities

Responsibilities

  • Assisting with fieldwork (e.g., sampling of various media, site inspections, and in a support role for field engineers/geologists/scientists)
  • Researching, collecting, and entering data, and applying technical principles to assist in interpreting and analyzing data
  • Assisting in preparing engineering-related calculations, designs, plans, and conceptual models
  • Performing preliminary human health and ecological risk calculations and modeling
  • Assisting with environmental assessments
  • Preparing technical reports
  • The position may include travel
