About The Position

Dudek is seeking an Environmental Engineer I who will support environmental engineering projects related to groundwater and site assessments, working under the guidance of senior engineers and hydrogeologists. In this entry-level role, the Environmental Engineer I will conduct field studies, collect environmental data, and assist in the preparation of technical reports to ensure regulatory compliance and sustainable resource management. The Environmental Engineer I will possess a foundational knowledge of environmental engineering principles, a strong analytical skill set, and a commitment to environmental protection.

Requirements

  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and have active personal automobile liability insurance by the first day of employment

Nice To Haves

  • Proficiency in MODFLOW, ArcGIS, and other relevant software tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret and synthesize complex data sets.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities and experience managing multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

  • Assists in conducting fieldwork, including environmental site assessments, water quality sampling, and soil sampling.
  • Supports the collection of environmental data such as groundwater levels, flow rates, and chemical concentrations.
  • Documents and reports field data for analysis by senior engineers and hydrogeologists.
  • Supports the analysis of environmental data to assess compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Assists in preparing technical reports that summarize data, findings, and recommendations.
  • Contributes to the creation of visual aids such as maps and figures for technical documentation.
  • Helps ensure that all activities comply with environmental laws and regulations.
  • Assists in evaluating potential environmental impacts and proposing mitigation strategies.
  • Supports development of environmental compliance documentation for regulatory agencies.
  • Collaborates with senior engineers, hydrogeologists, and project managers on environmental engineering projects.
  • Provides technical support to multidisciplinary teams on groundwater-related projects.
  • Participates in team meetings and contributes to project planning and execution
