About The Position

We are seeking resumes for Environmental Engineering Co-ops (Multiple Openings for Spring & Summer 2026) at our Valdosta, GA. Paper Mill. Responsibilities include: The co-op will work with the Environmental Engineering group. Maintain compliance related electronic data. Includes data input and data quality assurance responsibilities. Streamline and upgrade environmental compliance data management practices, as well as assist with the creation of new compliance documentation tools in response to regulatory actions. Document control responsibilities for both electronic and traditional compliance document files. Assistance with compilation of periodic compliance reports to regulatory agencies. Special projects for streamlining production data management tools utilized for technical and environmental company records. Utilize data from various mill data collection systems and software, as well as manual operations records for compliance and comparative trending purposes. Assistance with environmental engineering & special projects, such as landfill construction, wastewater treatment system construction, and residuals management. Assistance with environmental laboratory analytical tasks and sample collection. Position Requirements: PCA's paper mills operate on a continuous basis - 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and 365 days a year. Candidates for this position must be able to occasionally work long hours and all shifts. During annual outages - typically two (2) times per year for a duration of seven (7) consecutive days - and during unscheduled shutdowns, all employees are scheduled to work 12-hour shifts. Basic Qualifications:Must be a student in good standing with the University, currently enrolled majoring in Environmental, Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical or equivalent applicable engineering program, and express interest in Pulp and Paper Manufacturing as a career. A minimum grade point average of 3.0 is required, you must pass a drug screen, and you must be eligible to work in the US full-time. The successful candidate must possess the following Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Ability to be able to work well under pressure and within time constraints, multi-task, and build sound relationships with both internal and external customers. Ability to exhibit excellent communication, analytical, organizational, and computer skills. Capable of independently making sound decisions through creative problem-solving, ambiguity, and change Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple requests simultaneously. Requirements
