Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (civil, chemical, or environmental preferred), geology, or applicable science program. (required)
  • At least 7 years of direct environmental consulting experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. (required)
  • Experience with environmental due diligence including performance of Phase I ESA’s under the applicable ASTM standards (required)
  • Working knowledge of Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA), Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA), Clean Air Act (CAA), Clean Water Act (CWA), Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know Act (EPCRA), and Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA) (required)
  • Experience in effective management of projects, including responsibility for resource allocation, quality, technical oversight, and financial management. (required)
  • Experience mentoring and managing professional staff. (required)
  • Ability to succeed in a fast-paced consulting environment, handle multiple project assignments, meet deadlines, and travel to client facilities as needed. (required)
  • Regular field work and overnight travel. (required)
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel. (required)

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced degree in engineering or science. (preferred)
  • Experience performing limited environmental compliance evaluation projects (preferred).
  • Experience with Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG), sustainability and greenhouse gas (GHG) regulatory and strategy support services within North America associated with ongoing compliance and due diligence tasks.
  • Experience working on legally sensitive projects. (preferred)
  • Experience implementing Phase II ESA and site investigation projects (preferred)
  • Demonstrated success in developing new business and managing clients. (preferred)
  • Current OSHA 40-hr HAZWOPER training and refreshers. (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Directing, managing and implementing challenging technical projects involving: environmental due diligence (individual and programmatic projects); environmental regulatory compliance (multimedia auditing, facility program development, corrective action, and permitting support); ESG consulting, brownfield redevelopments; and site investigation and remediation
  • Cultivating relationships with new and existing clients, resulting in the expansion of the Firm’s current practices and capabilities through new business opportunities
  • Maintaining high visibility in the marketplace through regular client contact, participation in client-based professional organizations, and attendance and presentations at industry events
  • Supervising and mentoring early career professionals
