Requirements

  • Bachelor’s (BS or BA) Degree in Environmental Health and Safety.
  • Requires 5+ years of experience in EHS position in a manufacturing environment.
  • Requires certification in ISO 14001, ISO 45001, or ability to obtain certification within six months of being hired.
  • Requires strong computer skills in MS Word, Excel, and Powerpoint.

Nice To Haves

  • CSP, CIH, or CHMM certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, maintain, and continuously improve the Environmental Management System (EMS), including ISO 14001 program ownership, management reviews, internal audits, and certification readiness.
  • Ensure full environmental regulatory compliance by auditing permits and managing timely submission of Tier II, Form A, Form R, SWPPP (Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan), wastewater, and other required reports.
  • Administer hazardous waste and wastewater programs, including inspections, recordkeeping, corrective actions, and compliance with regulatory due dates.
  • Coordinate and oversee all environmental compliance activities, third-party audits, consultant support, and ISO certification/registration processes.
  • Monitor, verify, and follow up on internal and external corrective actions, driving continuous improvement across environmental performance and legal compliance.
  • Partner with departments on facility design, equipment use, and operational practices to prevent environmental impacts, accidents, and health hazards.
  • Develop, implement, and deliver training, audits, and awareness programs to promote environmental stewardship, regulatory compliance, and a strong EHS culture.
