The Environmental Compliance Specialist (9070) will be responsible for reviewing, assessing and successfully implementing a strategy to assure Authority compliance with the requirements of Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA), the Toxic Substance Control Act (TSCA), and Environmental & Sustainability Management System (ESMS). The work effort will be concentrated in three areas: (1) Soils Management, Phase I and II’s, Underground and Aboveground Storage Tanks (UST’s and AST’s), (2) Air Permitting, Waste Management, and Storm Water Management (NPDES), and (3) Environment and Sustainability Management System, ISO 14001. The Chief Safety Officer, System Safety and/or the Department Director will make this determination based on the current needs of the Division and the Authority at the time of posting. They will coordinate and cooperate with all levels of Authority management and collective bargaining unit employees to provide expert assistance toward identifying, assessing, and prioritizing line management’s prevention of safety, health, and environmental hazards. The Environmental Compliance Specialist (9070) is to be well versed in environmental safety and compliance requirements.
