We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for an Environmental Compliance Program Manager to join our growing Environment, Health, Safety, and Sustainability (EHSS) consulting team. This is a high-impact role supporting one of EA's largest regional clients across multiple project sites and states in the Pacific Northwest. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
  • 15+ years of progressive experience in environmental compliance and EHS roles.
  • Extensive knowledge of federal and state environmental regulations.
  • Practical experience in field inspections, environmental sampling, and regulatory audits.
  • Proven ability to develop and manage complex environmental programs.
  • Strong project management skills, including multitasking across multiple client sites and deliverables.
  • Demonstrated experience mentoring staff and building high-performing teams.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a track record of successful client management.
  • Successful experience with business development, proposal writing, and client expansion.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and drive environmental compliance initiatives from strategy to execution.
  • Ensure program goals are met with a focus on quality, compliance, and client satisfaction.
  • Provide expert support on compliance topics such as: Industrial & municipal stormwater
  • SPCC (Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure)
  • Waste management
  • Wastewater operations
  • Serve as the primary client liaison, building and maintaining strong, trusted relationships.
  • Lead development of key documents including SPCC Plans, Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans, Discharge Monitoring Reports
  • Mentor junior and mid-level staff in: Stormwater and industrial site inspections and sampling
  • Waste management practices and documentation
  • Compliance training delivery (SPCC, stormwater, waste, etc.)
  • Regulatory audits, assessments, and corrective action plans
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities.
  • Lead proposal development, budgeting, and scope preparation for RFPs and RFQs.
  • Assist clients in achieving sustainability, climate resilience, and regulatory alignment goals.
