About The Position

The Environment Service Heavy Duty Specialist is responsible for performing comprehensive cleaning and maintenance tasks. This includes stripping and waxing floors, shampooing carpets, cleaning windows, signage, light fixtures, vents, decorative greenery, railings, artwork, and elevators. The role requires the operation of various specialized cleaning equipment such as extractors, floor scrubbers, shampoo machines, polishing machines, special vacuum cleaners, and lifts, while adhering to all safety standards. The specialist will also be required to move office equipment as directed. A high degree of customer contact is expected, and team members must follow the "Everyone Greets Everyone (EGE)" policy, which involves proactively greeting guests and fellow team members. Participation in all mandatory meetings and pre-shift BUZZ sessions is also required. The position demands flexibility to work a varied schedule, including holidays, nights, and weekends, and a reasonable amount of overtime when necessary.

  • Ability to shampoo and spot clean carpeted areas.
  • Proficiency in using extractor equipment, floor scrubbers, shampoo machines, polishing machines, special vacuum cleaners, and scrubbers.
  • Ability to move office equipment and items as directed.
  • Ability to clean interior and exterior windows.
  • Ability to maintain a high degree of customer contact.
  • Ability to clean signage, light fixtures, vents, decorative greenery, railings, artwork, and elevators.
  • Ability to operate a lift and adhere to all safety standards.
  • Availability to work a reasonable amount of overtime when required.
  • Availability to work a varied schedule including holidays, nights, and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Follow the Everyone Greets Everyone (EGE) policy, acknowledging guests and fellow team members within 10 feet and initiating friendly verbal greetings within 5 feet.
  • Participate in all mandatory meetings and pre-shift BUZZ sessions.
  • Strip and wax floors to include baseboards.
  • Shampoo and spot clean carpeted areas.
  • Use extractor equipment, floor scrubbers, and shampoo machines, polishing machines, special vacuum cleaners and scrubbers.
