About The Position

You will be the Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Engineer for the Special Operations Forces – Global Logistics Support Services team. Our team is responsible for delivering world‑class logistics, maintenance, and sustainment services to USSOCOM. As the Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Engineer you will be responsible for safeguarding people, property, and the environment across our operations. This position supports our Special Operations Forces – Global Logistics Support Services contract, which is the U.S. Special Operations Command’s (USSOCOM) largest service contract vehicle providing a wide range of tailored logistics, maintenance, and sustainment services. This position is in Lexington.

Requirements

  • MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN
  • This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
  • The selected candidate must possess an active Secret clearance to start.

Nice To Haves

  • Earth mover equipment operation certification (Train the Trainer/Operator)
  • PIT equipment operation certification (Train the Trainer/Operator
  • RCRA Hazardous Waste Management certification
  • DOT Hazmat Ground shipper certification
  • Method 9 Opacity Reading certification
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills
  • Certifications (often required or preferred) OSHA 10‑hour General Industry or Construction certification.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular facility inspections, risk assessments, and waste‑segregation audits.
  • Review, investigate, and implement action plans for work‑related injuries, illnesses, accidents, and safety concerns.
  • Coordinate and schedule vendor services, and oversee bulk‑material sampling (e.g., asbestos testing).
  • Develop, deliver, and maintain training programs for PIT and earth‑moving equipment, including record‑keeping and certifications.
  • Support emergency‑response exercises and contribute to sustainability initiatives.
