POSITION SUMMARY The Environment of Care (EOC) Coordinator will provide dedicated oversight to ensure our EAMC, EAMC North, EAMC-Lanier REH and 50 plus off-site facilities maintains compliance with The Joint Commission (TJC), Centers of Medicare and Medicaid (CMS), and state regulatory requirements. The role supports safety, accreditation readiness, emergency management, and Environment of Care program performance across all departments in all facilities. The role assists in ensuring the hospital’s physical environment is safe, functional, and compliant with regulatory standards (CMS, Joint Commission, OSHA, NFPA, ADA). This individual assist with risk assessments, managing safety programs, and supports accreditation activities.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • Experience in Microsoft Office
  • Experience in safety and/or regulatory compliance
  • 3 – 5 years of experience of healthcare-related field
  • Familiarity with healthcare environment of care and emergency preparedness, including security, safety, HAZMAT, OSHA, NIMS, HICS, HVA, CMS, and hospital accreditation body (e.g. TJC) related criteria

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree
  • Completion of Incident Command System (ICS) 100, 200, 700, and 800 within 2 years from date of hire
