The Public Drinking Water Program is seeking an Environmental Engineer who is passionate about protecting public health through safe and reliable drinking water. You will join a collaborative team of engineers and scientists reviewing and providing input on projects from planning through permitting. You will be working closely with internal programs-Operations, Compliance, Capacity Development, and Water Resources-to help communities implement sustainable, resilient drinking water projects in compliance with the Water Supply Rule. You have a keen eye for detail when reviewing projects involving water sources, storage, transmission, distribution, pumping, and treatment systems. You thrive in a multidisciplinary environment-discussing hydraulics, treatment chemistry, funding, public health, and environmental justice. You value collaboration and communicate clearly with both internal teams and external partners. You're patient and supportive when providing technical and regulatory assistance to water systems and their consultants. You're self-motivated, take initiative, and care deeply about making a difference.
