About The Position

Cenveo is a leading North American manufacturer of envelopes. Hiring immediately for 2nd / 3rd shift Machine Operators (Envelope Machine Adjuster Trainees) in our Dallas, TX manufacturing plant. Machine Operator (Adjuster Trainee) Pay/Schedule: Pay Range $18-23/hr depending on experience + shift premiums 2nd shift premium $1.25/hr : 230pm - 1030p 3rd shift premium $1.50/hr : 1030pm - 6:30am Training may be on 1st shift - 630am - 230pm Schedule: Mon - Fri / Sat required during busy season/based on business needs. Machine Operator (Adjuster Trainee) Responsibilities & Daily Duties: Sets up and adjusts converting equipment for safe and efficient operation. Start-up, adjustments involving close tolerances, maintenance, and troubleshooting; Change window rolls (overhead). Assists in adjuster/operator training; Provides coverage if needed Examines product to ensures quality process is followed; Minimizes waste. Performs preventative maintenance to ensure consistent quality production. Overtime as needed; Compliance with safety rules and regulations. Maintains clean machine and work area (sweeps, removes waste, etc). Other duties and assignments as required. Machine Operator (Adjuster Trainee) Physical Requirements & Work Environment:- Regular standing, walking, carrying, climbing, reaching, bending, stooping. Frequently required to lift and/or move up to 55 pounds with assistance. Exposure to production equipment, noise, hazardous materials (inks, solvents, glue, etc.) ; Must be able to work in hot or cold weather. Ability to handle high-speed delivery output in a standing position for a full shift. Mental alertness to stop equipment when jam occurs. Cenveo is an EEO Employer

Requirements

  • The ideal candidate will have a High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Candidates with some or no direct envelope: a minimum of 18-24 months of relevant mechanical experience is required.
  • Advanced mechanical, troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
  • Basic math skills and the ability to accurately read a ruler; basic computer skills.
  • Flexibility required with machine assignment.

Nice To Haves

  • Candidates with direct envelope: 2-4 years experience is preferred.
