We are seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer/Project Manager based in either our office in Doylestown or Pittsburgh, PA. This is an outstanding opportunity for an individual with an interest in project management to support the continued growth of Penn E&R's expanding operations in the mid-Atlantic U.S. Minimum qualifications for the position include: Bachelor’s Degree in environmental sciences, engineering or geology (EIT or GIT a bonus) Mechanical background is a plus 2-4 years of geotechnical drilling and logging experience Work independently on-site, manage smaller projects, and possess strong foundational knowledge of geotechnical practices Experience in the following areas: Soil and rock core logging per ASTM methods, and field oversight of SPT, CPT, rock coring, test pits Overburden and bedrock well construction Earthwork, subgrade preparation, piling inspections (driven/drilled). Basic understanding of soil mechanics and lab testing methods (e.g., Atterberg limits, sieve analysis, proctor testing). Proficiency in gINT (for log creation); experience with geotechnical modeling software (e.g., GeoStudio, Plaxis) and AutoCAD a bonus.
