About The Position

An Entry-Level Welder is responsible for performing welding tasks to join, cut, or repair metal components, typically under supervision or with guidance. This role is ideal for individuals who have completed basic welding training or education and are beginning their career in the welding industry.

Requirements

• Basic welding training or education
• Ability to perform MIG welding techniques
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics
• Basic understanding of welding safety protocols
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs

Responsibilities

• Perform basic welding tasks using MIG welding techniques to join metal parts, ensuring accurate and clean welds.
• Interpret blueprints, schematics, and welding symbols to understand the project requirements.
• Operate and maintain welding equipment, including welding machines, torches, and safety gear, ensuring proper function and safety.
• Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves, masks, helmets, and protective clothing to maintain a safe work environment.
• Ensure that the welds meet the required specifications and quality standards, making adjustments as necessary to improve weld strength, appearance, and consistency.
• Cut, grind, and clean metal pieces before and after welding to ensure a smooth and proper weld.
• Work with senior welders and other team members to complete welding projects in a timely manner and troubleshoot issues that arise during the welding process.
• Record and report work completed, including materials used, hours worked, and any issues encountered during the welding process.
• Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the welding work area and tools, ensuring that equipment is properly stored and cared for.
