This role follows a hybrid work model, requiring a minimum 3 days of onsite office attendance. Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in an ABET-accredited Civil Engineering or related degree program, pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree.
  • 0-3 years of experience in transit and railway engineering experience.
  • Demonstrated interest in transit and railway engineering through prior internship or applied coursework experience.
  • Familiarity with MicroStation or AutoCAD and working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach to learning.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with AutoCAD, MicroStation, or OpenRoads.
  • Familiarity with rail engineering principles and practices.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the design and development of industrial freight rail and transit projects.
  • Participate in project meetings, coordinating with multiple disciplines to advance design solutions.
  • Assist project engineers and managers in designing track alignment geometry and intermodal facility layouts.
  • Perform engineering calculations, prepare drawings, and conduct quantity takeoffs to support project designs.
  • Engage with the full design process, from initial concept through construction.
  • Maintain organized project documentation and work areas to ensure design accuracy and efficiency
