About The Position

Boss Shop is looking for an Entry Level Shop Technician. Whether you are looking to start your career as a Diesel Technician, or are an experienced industry veteran, Boss Shop has a position for you! With their wide-ranging Tech Ranking system from Tech I all the way through Tech IV, Boss Shops is an industry leader in full range Diesel repair. The company offers a 3-week training program and a new training program for advanced-level technicians, along with a clear path for growth. The Entry Level Shop Technician is responsible for performing entry level mechanical repairs in a timely and professional manner.

Requirements

Ability to complete TIA tire training.
DOT Medical Card required at Boss Shops.
Ability to obtain ASE, DOT, and other relevant certifications as required.
Successful completion of internal technician training programs.
Valid driver’s license and ability to be insured to drive company vehicles.
Reliable transportation and phone.
Availability to work weekends, holidays, and as needed.
Ability to communicate effectively in English (if applicable).
Demonstrated commitment to friendly, courteous, and prompt customer service.
Ability and willingness to work cooperatively with team members.
Willingness to learn and develop technical skills.

Responsibilities

Completes assigned training programs, evaluations, and e-learning within designated timeframes.
Performs preventative maintenance services, including oil changes, lubrication, and filter replacement.
Greases trucks and trailers.
Performs tire repair, replacement, and related services.
Conducts CSA inspections and emergency road service calls.
Perform basic electrical diagnosis and repairs, including lighting, wiring, and 7-way replacements.
Perform minor trailer maintenance and body repairs.
Conducts basic air system repairs, including airline replacement, fittings, glad hands, and splices.
Performs battery testing and replacement.
Maintains cleanliness and organization of the shop and work areas.
Ensures all tools, equipment, and service vehicles are clean, functional, and properly maintained.
Properly stores parts, tires, and supplies.
Accurately completes work orders, including labor, parts, and customer information.
Ensures total customer satisfaction and uphold the integrity of the company.
Follows all company safety policies and procedures.
Completes OSHA Skills Demonstration and required safety training.
Maintains current LMS training requirements.
Provides friendly, professional, and competent customer service.
Reports to work as scheduled and on time.
Perform other duties as assigned.
