About The Position

If so, Sioux Chief Manufacturing wants you on our team! We’re looking for a Safety Coordinator who’s equal parts compliance champion, problem solver, and people person. In this role, you’ll partner with the Director of Safety, our leadership, and employees to maintain a safe, healthy, and hazard-free workplace — while ensuring that everyone genuinely enjoys learning about safety (yes, it’s possible). This role reports to our Director of Safety. Since 1957, Sioux Chief has manufactured innovative solutions for rough plumbing. Your Safety Superpowers): Assist in improving and implementing our safety programs and policies. Be the trainer everyone remembers — making safety practices stick. Hunt down hazards with safety surveys, inspections, and follow-ups, just like a true detective. Help managers investigate incidents and figure out the “whys” to prevent future mishaps. Keep our Safety Committee running and our Safety Recognition Program buzzing. Manage safety records like the organized legend you are.

Requirements

  • A knack for reading and understanding technical procedures and government regulations (without falling asleep).
  • A clear, confident communicator — in writing, in person, and even in those awkward post-accident conversations.
  • Someone with strong time management and conflict resolution skills.
  • A pro with MS Office and a working knowledge of safety regulations.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in manufacturing safety is preferred (but if you’ve got the skills, we want to hear from you).
