In this role, you will work with a team of industry experts to help the world’s leading companies solve their most difficult problems. You will join our Packaging Systems Practice and partner with seasoned leaders, technical specialists, and subject matter experts to deliver the highest quality solutions to our clients with consistency and accuracy.

Requirements

  • The ability to successfully organize and execute multiple project responsibilities
  • Solid communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with management, clients, and vendors
  • Strong analytical skills and a basic understanding of project management fundamentals
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, and AutoCAD
  • A willingness to travel for project requirements including installation and start-up activities, client and company sponsored meetings, trainings, industry related seminars, forums, and conventions
  • A bachelor of science in mechanical or chemical engineering, or a related technical degree

Nice To Haves

  • Co-op or project experience with packaging lines, automation, or manufacturing applications (preferred)
  • Co-op or project experience in the food, dairy, high speed beverage/brewery, pharmaceutical, or consumer products environments (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Assume responsibility for all aspects of project execution including line layout engineering, mechanical design, vendor/contractor management, estimation, justification, equipment procurement, schedule management, project finances, budgeting, site management, integration, implementation, acquisition, installation, start-up, and troubleshooting, in compliance with local, state, federal, and international regulations
  • Conduct yourself with integrity in pursuit of individual and business goals

  • Develop equipment design and specifications, design equipment support systems, and handle bid analyses
  • Lead communications with vendors (OEMs) and contractors to implement innovative automation solutions
  • Provide engineering solutions for continuous improvement objectives using industry standard tools and procedures (change control, ROIs)
  • Evaluate existing packaging operations and drive projects in order to provide immediate ROI and improve productivity
  • Identify and specify required tooling and/or packaging equipment within designated timelines
  • Maintain and grow solid client relationships
  • Convert information into project documentation and manage integration of packaging automation lines
  • Lead project teams
  • Procure equipment and develop material handlings methods
  • Manage vendors and contractors
  • Make an impact day-to-day with your skills and expertise, strengthening that relationship with our clients and team
