Requirements

  • High school diploma (or equivalent) plus 1 year of college-level lab studies and mathematics, and 2 years of laboratory experience OR 4 years of experience in a food or pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards for infant formula, nutritional’s, and quality control testing.
  • Experience in food manufacturing, pharmaceutical, medical device, or hospital/medical laboratory settings.
  • You’ll be accountable for meeting our compliance standards including FDA, OSHA and Abbott policies and procedures.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in a science-related field with relevant lab coursework and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Perform microbiological analysis of raw ingredients, in-process samples, finished products, and environmental monitoring using high-quality scientific techniques.
  • Collaborate with a small team of microbiologists, demonstrating strong attention to detail, clear communication, and reliability.
  • Prioritize tasks to deliver accurate results efficiently while maintaining compliance with FDA, GMP, and regulatory standards for infant formula and nutritional products.
  • Conduct product testing, environmental testing, and raw ingredient testing.
  • Complete documentation, troubleshoot issues, and support project work.
  • Prepare media and maintain general lab housekeeping standards.
