About The Position

As an Entry Level Mechanic at Conagra Brands, you will report to the Maintenance Supervisor on site at the Marshall, MO facility. Your primary responsibilities will include troubleshooting, removing, installing, replacing, rebuilding, repairing, and testing parts/components on plant and production equipment. You will be tasked with keeping mechanical equipment in good condition and working order, inspecting machines and equipment to locate problems, replacing defective parts, and making necessary adjustments to ensure production operation. You will utilize manuals, repair manuals, parts manuals, and parts diagrams to troubleshoot plant and production equipment. Additionally, you will use hand and power tools to perform your duties, which may include electrical and pneumatic work on production machines, as well as welding, electrical, and fabrication tasks. The position may require working seven days a week and extended shift schedules.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 2 years progressive mechanic experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Vocational tech training in machine maintenance.
  • Ability to carry and push/pull up to 100 pounds.
  • Read and write English for completion of production/quality documents.
  • Basic math skills of addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, and percentages.
  • Familiarity with and ability to use basic shop equipment, electric arc welder, plasma cutter, torch, and basic hand tools.
  • Electrical experience.

Responsibilities
