About The Position

Our
Litigation Group [https://fkks.com/practice-areas/litigation] has a deep roster of talented commercial litigators practicing in federal and state courts and before administrative agencies nationwide.
We are seeking an entry level paralegal. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent college graduate or individual who wishes to learn paralegal skills through working with experienced litigation attorneys. It is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience for developing paralegal skills in a very active team environment. This position will report to the assigned attorneys and Human Resources.

Requirements

• Excellent verbal/written communication skills.
• Ability to communicate and interact with attorneys, clients, all levels of staff and management at the firm.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Strong organizational and time management skills; attention to detail
• Ability to plan and manage work under time constraints and high-pressure situations.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to work independently.
• High degree of initiative and self-motivation.
• Bachelor’s degree required.

Nice To Haves

• Prior legal experience is beneficial but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist attorneys with preparation of pleadings.
• Preparing for and attending depositions, hearings, and trials.
• Proofreading, cite checking, and editing legal documents.
• Project management and organization of litigation cases.
• Fact research.
• Document collection and production.
• Coordination of outside litigation vendors.
• Assembling/filing/distributing briefs.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
