Requirements

  • Education: BS in Engineering from an accredited college or university.
  • Registration: Engineer Intern (EI)
  • Experience: No prior experience required; 1-year student internship or a master's degree preferred.
  • Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office; familiarity with Esri ArcGIS, stormwater modeling software, or AutoCAD Civil 3D preferred.
  • Other: Valid driver's license with acceptable MVR.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the design and modeling of water, wastewater, and reclaimed water systems.
  • Prepare plans, specifications, and permit applications to support water/wastewater infrastructure projects.
  • Participate in data collection, analysis, and report preparation to ensure effective, sustainable solutions.
  • Work with experienced engineers to develop pump station layouts, pipeline alignments, and treatment plant improvements.
  • Engage in continuing professional development to build technical expertise in water/wastewater design.
  • Support quality control efforts, ensuring that all deliverables meet Jones Edmunds' Quality Program standards.
  • Communicate project progress and challenges to supervisors, meeting deadlines and contributing to team success.
