About The Position

We are looking for an Entry-Level Engineer to join our ICE team to improve infrastructure in our Pittsburgh office. Candidates should have a bachelor's degree in civil engineering and zero to three years of experience. Completion of Part I of the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam and knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D and MicroStation In Roads is preferred. Strong written and verbal communication/coordination skills are essential. Typical responsibilities include: Design various natural gas projects using using industry best practices to comply with local, state and federal standards. Coordinate preparation of permit submittals Prepare preliminary project cost estimates and a Bill Of Materials. Assist with/review scope, budget, and schedule of new project tasks Monitor task budget and progress Document design changes and communications with the client Administrative tasks as appropriate for the project (ex. Submit a design 811 ticket and follow up on responses) Conduct on-site inspections as needed Assist in survey tasks Develop field inventory of gas facilities Prepare project status and other reports Assist in the preparation of proposals Assist Project Managers as appropriate Attend client, public, project and staff meetings including client progress, plan review, pre-construction, etc. Attend seminars and/or training classes Maintain excellent client relations Maintain a safe working environment

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering required
  • 0 - 6 years of related experience required
  • Strong written and verbal communication/coordination skills are essential

Nice To Haves

  • A Pennsylvania PE license or completion of Part I of the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam is preferred.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D and MicroStation In Roads is preferred
