Requirements

  • Must be able to lift 70 pounds continuously.
  • Must be able to work on a ladder all day.
  • Must be able to take direction and have the desire to learn the communications trade.
  • Knowledge of tool use and experience using hand tools.
  • Ability to obtain a Department of Transportation (DOT) Medical card for Commercial Motor Vehicle operation is required.
  • A current Driver’s License and able to be approved to drive a company vehicle is required
  • Pre-employment drug screening and background check are conditions of employment.
  • Motor vehicle checks may be required based upon position.

Nice To Haves

  • Low voltage cable pulling and labeling experience helpful.
  • Current Commercial Driver’s License is a plus.
  • Mechanical aptitude is desired.

Responsibilities

  • Installing cabling Inside Plant and Outside Plant
  • pulling wire in conduit
  • placing cable in ceiling and floor system zones
  • terminating cable both copper and fiber optic
  • Installing cable tray, communications racks and grounding systems
  • Lacing cables and knowledge of industry standards.
