About The Position

A highly reputable manufacturing company is seeking an Entry Level Accounting Specialist to join their team! This role includes a large range of duties including but not limited to full cycle accounts payable, invoice processing, reconciliations, general ledger journal entries, utilizing a large ERP system, Microsoft excel formulas, and much more!

Requirements

1-5 years of accounting experience
Experience with reconciliations
accounts payable experience
Experience using a large erp system (SAP strongly preferred)
Experience with Microsoft excel formulas

Responsibilities

Generate and review customer invoices and credits in ERP (M1) and accounting systems.
Apply correct sales tax rates and maintain exemption certificates.
Process customer payments (checks, EFTs, wires) and resolve remittance issues.
Perform collections, send monthly statements, and follow up on past due accounts.
Prepare AR reports including aging, open credits and collection efficiency.
Handle customer inquiries and initiate credit checks for new customers.
Match vendor invoices to purchase orders and receipts; resolve discrepancies.
Enter invoices and ERP and prepare bi-monthly payment batches.
Review vendor statements and manage un-invoiced receipts and resolve any issues.
Add new vendors, provide tax forms, and manage 1099 documentation.
Supervise Accounts Payable Assistant
Calculate and process monthly commissions for Sales Representative, and Distributors.
Maintain tracking spreadsheets and provide data for annual commission calculations.
Verify and process expenses via Concur (SAP) expense management system
Train employees on expense reporting and allocate expenses to departments.
Maintain tax records, update rates, and submit payments.
Prepare periodic sales tax reports and support audits.
Ensure compliance and ISO standards.
Participate in special projects and assignments.
