About The Position

Responsible for receiving and responding to Customer inquiries received by telephone and other inbound sources. Answers Customer Service telephone calls & web documents to document the intake of complaints, commendations, customer issues and Lost & Found for departmental follow up. Maintains and updates monthly statistical reports and other documents as needed. Assists with the service window/reception as needed. Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Must be able to communicate effectively and tactfully.
  • Must be able to work harmoniously with fellow employees and a diverse customer population, including persons with developmental and physical disabilities.
  • Must have knowledge of existing bus fare instruments, bus pass programs, bus routes and schedules, and the Company's General Operating Procedures or be able to acquire such knowledge quickly.
  • Must be able to use a desktop computer for word processing, spreadsheet applications, data entry and email applications (i.e. Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook).
  • Must have good knowledge of grammar including spelling, punctuation and sentence structure and the ability to produce well‑written responses to customers.
  • Pleasant speaking voice and fluent in the English language.
  • Must have knowledge of Oahu locations and street names and use proper pronunciation.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Must have one (1) year of Customer Service experience.
  • Must have a satisfactory work performance and attendance record.
  • Must pass a Company‑sponsored drug screening.
  • Must be able to operate a computer and telephone for extended periods, utilize reference materials and various office equipment.
  • Must report to work on‑time and work scheduled hours.
  • Must be able to exercise sound judgement.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous call center experience and background preferred.
