About The Position

We’re seeking a high‑energy Training Specialist who thrives at the intersection of people development and complex technical environments. In this role, you’ll support our aerospace manufacturing operations by identifying skill gaps, building targeted training solutions, and delivering dynamic learning experiences that strengthen both technical capability and leadership excellence across the organization. This role requires ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations) compliance; therefore, qualified candidates must meet the definition of a U.S. Person (per EAR Part 772 and ITAR 120.15): An individual who is granted U.S. citizenship, or An individual who is granted U.S. permanent residence (i.e., a "Green Card" holder), or An individual who is granted status as a "protected person" Essential Functions To accomplish this job, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in human resources, communication, adult education, or similar relevant field is required
  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience in training, instructional design, organizational development, or technical training—preferably in aerospace, manufacturing, or similar highly regulated industry
  • Strong facilitation skills with the ability to command a room and energize participants
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct needs assessments and translate insights into training solutions
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (English) and proficiency in creating professional training materials
  • Comfortable working with technical content and leadership development frameworks
  • Ability to build strong relationships and influence across all levels of the organization
  • Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities
  • Project management and organizational skills to ensure progress toward multiple initiatives and projects simultaneously; attention to detail and deadlines is critical
  • Demonstrated commitment to maintaining confidentiality and demonstrating integrity in communications and actions
  • Self-management skills, including efficiency, sense of urgency, ability to adapt and respond to unexpected circumstances, and ability to juggle multiple projects, competing priorities, and meet concurrent deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Learning Management Systems
  • Travel of thirty percent (30%) or more is expected; the employee is expected to visit all assigned sites regularly.
  • Overnight travel will be required.
  • Due to location proximity, most travel will be by ground transportation; a valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record are required.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough training needs assessments and performance gap analyses across manufacturing, quality, engineering, and support functions
  • Evaluate workforce capability against aerospace standards and operational requirements
  • Partner with operational leaders to prioritize training initiatives that improve safety, quality, and throughput to accomplish business goals and objectives
  • Develop clear, accurate training materials for technical upskilling, including work instructions, process documentation, job aids, and system training
  • Create leadership development content tailored to frontline supervisors and emerging leaders in a manufacturing environment
  • Ensure all materials reflect aerospace compliance requirements, industry best practices, and adult learning principles
  • Deliver high‑energy, engaging training sessions for diverse audiences—from technicians and assemblers to engineers and supervisors
  • Facilitate technical training on manufacturing processes, tooling, quality systems, and safety protocols
  • Lead leadership workshops focused on communication, coaching, problem‑solving, and team performance
  • Adapt delivery style for classroom, hands‑on, and virtual environments
  • Conduct "train the trainer" activities to equip site personnel in delivering effective technical training and assess learner comprehension
  • Work closely with production managers, quality leaders, engineering teams, and HR partners to ensure training aligns with operational goals
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to validate technical accuracy and ensure training supports regulatory and customer requirements
  • Support onboarding programs to accelerate readiness for new hires entering aerospace manufacturing roles
  • Continuously refines programs to improve learner experience and business impact
