About The Position

This position is fully onsite in Franklin, TN. PURPOSE STATEMENT: The IT Systems Administrator III is responsible for maintaining and supporting the integrity of the operating system environment and various core computer systems. This resource utilizes professional experience and training in information technology to administer all aspects of operating systems in a complex computing environment. Responsible for a variety of duties which include development and installation of operating system software, systems programming and modification of operating systems, performance analysis, database maintenance and management, security administration, and management of data storage.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or related field preferred.
  • Seven or more years working experience in systems management required.
  • Three or more years hands-on technical roles.
  • Experience with virtualization technologies.
  • Advanced proficiency in core enterprise applications, including Email, Active Directory and Networking.

Nice To Haves

  • Prefer at least one professional certification such as A+, Network+, Security+, MCSE, CCNA, or equivalent experience.
  • Azure Certifications a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Serves as the senior most technical resource on the Infrastructure team.
  • Installs, configures and maintains multiple servers and workstations, ensuring proper integration with other computer systems. Servers can be “bare metal” hardware, or Hyper-V / VMWare virtual machines.
  • Plans and implements system security procedures, to include host and client access, file permissions, and user accounts in Active Directory, Group Policy and InTune.
  • Conducts regular software and hardware audits of workstations and servers to ensure compliance with standards, policies, and configuration guidelines.
  • Monitors and tunes systems to achieve optimum performance level.
  • Deploys new applications and enhancements to existing applications, software, and operating systems.
  • Analyzes the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems; develop. and implement. strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems.
  • Configures, supports and administers Active Directory, Microsoft Azure, Windows Deployment, Microsoft SharePoint technologies, InTune, Dell servers, VMWare ESXi, internal applications, and Linux.
  • Maintains documentation of IT infrastructure and troubleshooting procedures to include Disaster Recovery.
  • Ensures uninterrupted network connectivity to data center for all Summit facilities.
  • Implements recommended best practices for Microsoft systems both hosted and cloud based.
  • Researches, reviews, and recommends hardware and software improvements.
  • Manages and executes routine maintenance on all systems through patching and system updates as well as hardware lifecycle management with installation, configuration, and version integrity.
  • Manages access controls for user and computer groups.
  • Creates process and implements operational system enhancements that will improve the reliability, performance, and security of the enterprise.
  • Provides advanced level troubleshooting and acts as an escalation point for other System Administrators and help desk technicians.
