The Department of Economic Security, Division of Technology Services, is seeking an experienced and highly motivated professional to join our team as a Systems/LAN Administrator. This position will serve as an Enterprise Software Support (ESS) Administrator. This position is part of a team of highly skilled, technology-driven individuals. This role focuses on delivering customer service to our Google Workspace end-users by resolving daily support tickets, performing routine system maintenance, and applying configuration changes that align with our governance standards.  A successful candidate will be a self-motivated individual who can work with minimal direct supervision while effectively balancing their day-to-day workload between project execution and break-fix or request tickets. Daily responsibilities include keeping applicable systems up to date with mandatory updates, maintaining essential system documentation such as runbooks and standard work, and strictly following the agency's established change management practices. Furthermore, this role participates in team meetings, implements industry best practices, assists in projects to extend enterprise software service offerings, and remediates technical audit findings under the guidance of IT leadership. Ultimately, this position provides an excellent opportunity to grow your technical skills while working alongside diverse groups across the organization. This position may offer the ability to work remotely within Arizona based upon the department's needs and continual meetings of expected performance measures.   • This position may require driving or the use of a vehicle as an essential function of the job to conduct State business, then the following requirements apply: Driver’s License Requirements. Any employee operating a motor vehicle on State business must possess and retain a current, • valid class-appropriate driver’s license, complete all required training, and successfully pass all necessary driver’s license record checks. The license must be current, unexpired, and neither revoked nor suspended. Employees who drive on state business are subject to driver’s license record checks, must maintain acceptable driving records, and must complete all required driver training. An employee who operates a personally owned vehicle on state business shall maintain the statutorily required liability insurance (see Arizona Administrative Code (A.A.C.) R2-10-207.11).

  • ARS 41-1969 Each employee or contractor of the department of economic security who is employed in an information technology position shall have a valid fingerprint clearance card issued pursuant to section ARS 41-1758.07.

Responsibilities

  • Categorizes, isolates, and resolves system problems; Processes, documents, and coordinates resolution of trouble calls with help desk.
  • Supports and completes proactive maintenance including software patches, security fixes, system upgrades, and validates system configurations.
  • Ensures compliance with standards for systems software, security, and documentation.
  • Provides subject matter expertise for projects related to applications/systems.
  • Monitors systems reliability and availability.
