The Enterprise Operations Center Specialist - Mid performs day-to-day monitoring and management activities within SEC's Enterprise Operations Center, utilizing monitoring technologies and tools to identify and diagnose complex system problems. This role coordinates event resolutions, applies expertise on complex work assignments, monitors and identifies problem areas, and ensures effective system monitoring supporting enterprise operations requirements.

Requirements

  • Minimum 4 years of related experience providing support to an enterprise operations center
  • Experience monitoring and managing enterprise systems and networks using advanced technologies and tools
  • Knowledge of complex IT infrastructure and troubleshooting methodologies
  • Proven ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues
  • Understanding of monitoring platforms and ITSM processes
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or equivalent professional experience
  • Successful completion of a Public Trust background investigation and/or a Public Trust clearance.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen

Nice To Haves

  • ITIL Foundation certification
  • Experience with multiple monitoring platforms and tools
  • Knowledge of Windows, Linux, and network infrastructure
  • Understanding of application performance monitoring
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills

Responsibilities

  • Perform day-to-day activities required to monitor systems for events or alerts
  • Coordinate resolution of events and alerts
  • Monitor and identify problem areas and coordinate resolutions
  • Apply expertise on multiple complex work assignments
  • Utilize software and hardware tools to identify and diagnose complex problems and factors affecting systems
  • Document monitoring activities and incident resolutions
  • Escalate issues following established procedures
  • Participate in 24x7x365 shift operations
  • Generate operational reports and performance metrics
  • Support implementation of monitoring improvements
  • Maintain runbooks and operational procedures
