About The Position

Builds, tests, and publishes software packages and deployment artifacts used across DDSB-managed endpoints and servers. This role applies repeatable, security-focused packaging standards to reduce deployment risk and accelerate delivery of approved applications and updates through DHA’s Enterprise Management toolset.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a closely related discipline or equivalent practical experience (as permitted by the contract).
  • Minimum 4 years of relevant experience supporting enterprise IT environments, with demonstrated work aligned to Tier 3 Level EM Packaging Support Services.
  • At least one: Cloud+, GICSP, SSCP, Security+, or GSEC.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain Public Trust suitability and all required system access (e.g., CAC-enabled accounts) to perform duties.
  • This position is aligned to applicable DoD Manual 8140.03 work role 451 (NIST: OM-SA-001); contractor personnel must meet DoD 8570.01-M baseline certification requirements and transition to DoD Manual 8140.03 work role requirements, including required training, knowledge, skills, abilities, and tasks, within Government-directed timelines.

Responsibilities

  • Translate approved intake requirements into standardized, silent-install packages (MSI/MSIX/EXE) with reliable detection, repair, and uninstall logic.
  • Create and maintain Windows application packages in Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM) and Microsoft Intune, including dependencies and supersedence/versioning.
  • Convert legacy on-premises packages into Intune Win32 packaging as MED365 cloud endpoint services mature, preserving security and logging requirements.
  • Validate packages in the Infrastructure Test Center (ITC) against representative images, baselines, and operational scenarios; document results and release criteria.
  • Incorporate Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) settings, vulnerability response (IAVM) requirements, and least-privilege installation practices into packaging standards.
  • Coordinate packaging releases through approved change workflows, deployment rings, and maintenance windows; prepare rollback plans for high-risk deployments.
  • Monitor deployment outcomes (success rates, compliance state, detection anomalies) and perform root-cause analysis for failed or degraded deployments
  • Troubleshoot packaging-related incidents escalated from Tier II/III support, including prerequisite conflicts, installer failures, and policy collisions with device management settings.
  • Maintain package lifecycle controls, including version tracking, hash/signature verification, retirement planning, and vendor end-of-support alignment.
  • Develop and maintain SOPs, work instructions, and a package catalog to ensure repeatability, auditability, and consistent naming and metadata.
  • Provide packaging status reporting and backlog metrics to support prioritization during patch, authorization, and mission surge cycles.
  • Coordinate with Enterprise Management administration and systems administration teams when platform or infrastructure changes are required to enable packaging outcomes.
