About The Position

KBR is seeking an Enterprise IT Systems Manager to join the C3BM (Command, Control, Communications, and Battle Management) team in Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling (JBAB), DC. The selected candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and securing enterprise systems, applications, and infrastructure. The role will lead efforts in installing software, deploying system upgrades, resolving server and desktop-related issues, and supporting complex Tier 2/3 problems. The administrator will also develop innovative IT solutions, evaluate emerging technologies, and implement practices aligned with the organization’s IT goals.

Requirements

  • BS degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity or related technical field
  • 12+ years of advanced System Administration experience supporting DoD enterprise networks and missioncritical environments.
  • Deep understanding of core TCP/IP protocols and network services, including DNS, DHCP, FTP, SSH, and IP configuration methodologies.
  • Handson expertise in deploying, configuring, and managing network infrastructure, including switches and routers using OSPF, MPLS, SDN architectures, and routing/switching across Juniper and Cisco platforms.
  • Proven experience across Technical Support, Cloud Computing, Information Security, and Compliance, with the ability to operate in highly secure and regulated environments.
  • CompTIA Security+ certification
  • Strong ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks, prioritize workload effectively, and maintain operational efficiency in dynamic mission environments.
  • Self-motivated; able to work independently with minimal direction
  • An active TS/SCI clearance is required
  • Must have experience working with Special Access Programs (SAPs)

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced certifications in relevant IT and cybersecurity domains, such as CASP+, CISSP, CCNP, CCSP, CEH, CySA+, or GIAC certifications.
  • Experience administering classified network environments, including NIPR, SIPR, JWICS, PLx, or other DoD cross‑domain or intelligence community networks.
  • Proficiency with virtualization technologies, such as VMware ESXi, vCenter, Hyper‑V, or containerized environments (Docker/Kubernetes).
  • Experience with secure enclave management, including Active Directory, Group Policy, PKI, privileged access controls, and identity management in classified environments.
  • Knowledge of DISA STIGs and RMF requirements, including system hardening, documentation, and compliance maintenance across classified systems.
  • Experience functioning as a Trusted Agent, TASM, or equivalent role for PKI, tokens, or high‑side credentialing.
  • Skill in managing secure communications equipment, including VTC systems, VoIP, crypto devices, or mission‑specific communications gear.
  • Experience with hardware lifecycle management, including secure destruction, sanitization, and chain‑of‑custody procedures for SAP or SCI environments.
  • Familiarity with Air Force, DoD, or intelligence community policies, procedures, and reporting structures impacting IT operations.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as an experienced and highly motivated IT professional supporting Command, Control, Communications, and Battle Management (C3BM) by independently executing IT and Systems Administration functions within a classified environment.
  • Implement, configure, operate, and maintain multiple classified and unclassified networked systems to ensure availability, security, and performance.
  • Plan, coordinate, and install software applications and hardware across multiple classified network domains.
  • Diagnose and resolve IT issues; provide comprehensive troubleshooting and Help Desk support to all C3BMassigned personnel.
  • Maintain accurate inventory control records for all current and future IT equipment, including software, hardware, and network assets.
  • Oversee software installation, configuration, and the setup of user environments across supported networks.
  • Manage and apply system patches, updates, and enhancements while ensuring system integrity and continuity of operations.
  • Provide proactive guidance and training to system users to support smooth implementation of system changes and updates.
  • Deliver secure Video Teleconferencing (VTC) support and ensure reliability of classified and unclassified VTC capabilities.
