This role is responsible for the design, delivery, and operational reliability of all integration solutions across the Delta Dental of Wisconsin application and data environments. This role will partner closely with the Director, Enterprise Data Management, the Manager of Data Architecture and Engineering, application owners, and infrastructure teams to deliver integration solutions that support analytics, transactional workflows, and meet application and organizational data exchange requirements. This is a full-time hybrid position based at our headquarters in Stevens Point, Wisconsin (in-office Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday; remote Wednesday and Friday). We’re continuing to expand and are looking for someone who thrives in a hands-on role—building integrations, solving problems, and partnering across teams to drive results. Responsibilities

  • Develops and maintains integration architecture standards, patterns, and best practices (API-first, event-driven, message queues, ELT/ETL flows, etc.)
  • Evaluates emerging technologies, integration platforms, and automation tools to enhance performance and scalability
  • Partners with our managed services provider (MSP) to lead the integration strategy, ensuring reliable, secure, and scalable movement of data across enterprise systems
  • Collaborates with MSP to oversee API development, data pipelines, workflows, and secure data transmission processes
  • Develops reusable frameworks and components to accelerate integration delivery and minimize customizations
  • Review solution designs for performance, maintainability, and security prior to and after deployment
  • Owns integration operations, monitoring, logging, alerting, and issue resolution
  • Establishes SLAs and KPIs for integration success rates, latency, throughput, and incident response
  • Drives continuous improvements in stability, error handling, retry logic, and overall system performance
  • Oversees work intake, project prioritization, and alignment with objectives
  • Collaborates with PMO, business stakeholders, and application teams to define requirements and timelines.
  • Ensures proper documentation of integration designs, code, and support procedures
  • Ensures integrations support business workflows and requirements, work as intended, and follow vendor and organizational standards for secure data transfer
  • Ensures data platform and integration systems meet audit, quality, and security requirements
  • Identifies risks associated with data operations, platform stability, and integrations; implement mitigation strategies
