About The Position

The Department of Children and Families’ Office of Quality and Innovation serves as a catalyst for elevating performance statewide to support positive outcomes for Florida families. The Enterprise Project Manager plays a critical role in strengthening service delivery by managing enterprise projects that support the successful achievement of the Department’s mission. This position provides leadership and oversight for projects and initiatives carried out in collaboration with internal teams and external partners to advance Department priorities. The position helps ensure the Department maintains strong project governance, effective planning processes, and the tools needed to guide decision-making and improve outcomes for the children and families we serve.

Requirements

  • A Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute is required.
  • A minimum of four years of supervisory experience directly supervising three or more employees is required.
  • At least four years of experience managing a portfolio of complex, high-profile projects involving multiple stakeholder groups and executive-level sponsors is required.
  • Ability to work at DCF Headquarters Office in Tallahassee, FL and travel occasionally to complete work assignments is required.

Nice To Haves

  • A master’s degree in public administration, business administration, management, or a related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Leading and managing the Project Management Office (PMO), providing guidance, coaching, and oversight to project managers while ensuring consistent application of project management standards, tools, and methodologies.
  • Establishing and maintaining enterprise project management frameworks, governance processes, and documentation standards to support consistent and effective project delivery across the Department.
  • Overseeing and supporting complex cross-departmental projects and initiatives that advance strategic priorities and improve services for children and families.
  • Monitoring project scope, timelines, budgets, risks, and dependencies to ensure projects remain on track and aligned with organizational goals.
  • Developing and maintaining project reporting, dashboards, and status updates to provide leadership with clear visibility into project progress, risks, and performance.
  • Facilitating project planning activities including charter development, work plans, resource coordination, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Identifying and addressing project risks, barriers, and resource constraints, and escalating issues as needed to ensure timely resolution.
  • Preparing clear and accurate reports and presentations for leadership and stakeholders on project status, outcomes, and recommendations for improving project delivery and organizational performance.
