Location: 109 Kentucky St, Petaluma, CA 94952 We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Continuous Improvement Intern to support enterprise-wide initiatives focused on optimizing plant operations and processes. This role will provide hands-on experience in analyzing workflows, mapping processes, and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency across manufacturing environments. The intern will work closely with cross-functional teams to evaluate labor utilization, downtime, and overall plant activities, helping drive data-informed improvements.

Requirements

  • Attending a four-year college or university to attain a degree in Business, Engineering or a related field; or already awarded bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university.
  • Clear written communication and documentation skills.
  • Experience creating process maps or flowcharts.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel). 
  • Interpersonal skills to work with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents.
  • Ability to make effective presentations on complex topics to plant management and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables

Responsibilities

  • Assist in mapping and documenting current-state processes across plant operations.
  • Analyze data related to labor hours, downtime, and daily operational activities to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams gather data, understand workflows, and support project execution.
