Toyota Financial Services' Architecture Team is looking for an experienced Enterprise Business Architect to join our team and drive the development and application of business architecture practices across the organization. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in business capability modeling, maturity assessments, organization modeling, strategy and value modeling, and value stream mapping. You will work closely with business and technology stakeholders to align business strategies with architecture initiatives, leveraging industry-standard frameworks such as BizBOK and enterprise architecture tools. This role is critical in enabling business transformation and ensuring that business architecture delivers measurable value.

Requirements

  • Prior hands-on experience as business architect with solid understanding of the business architecture function and its role within enterprise architecture.
  • Proven experience in developing and maintaining key business architecture artefacts such as strategy and value modeling, value stream mapping, organizational modeling, business capability modeling, business capability maturity assessments, business capability based planning, and cross-model integration.
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience with enterprise architecture tools for modeling and documentation.
  • Working knowledge and experience with business architecture frameworks such as BizBOK or equivalent.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Information Technology, or related field.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Application Portfolio Management (APM) and Technology Portfolio Management (TPM).
  • Familiarity with LeanIX or similar enterprise architecture management tools.
  • Certifications in architecture frameworks such as TOGAF, BizBOK, or equivalent.
  • Background in financial services or other regulated industries.
  • Experience supporting Lean or Agile transformation initiatives.
  • Knowledge of Agile and Lean methodologies.
  • Experience with tools like LeanIX, Sparx EA, or similar.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business strategies, goals, and challenges.
  • Lead strategy and value modeling efforts to articulate business goals, drivers, and value propositions.
  • Facilitate workshops and discussions to gather requirements and validate business architecture models.
  • Collaborate with enterprise architects, domain teams, and business leaders to translate business strategies into actionable business architecture artifacts and roadmaps.
  • Support business transformation initiatives by providing insights and recommendations based on business architecture analysis.
  • Develop and maintain business capability models to represent the organization’s functions and services and reflect the organization’s current and target state.
  • Conduct business capability maturity assessments to identify gaps and opportunities for improvement.
  • Model organizational structures and align them with business capabilities and strategies.
  • Create and maintain value stream models to visualize and optimize end-to-end business processes.
  • Map and integrate various business architecture models to provide a holistic view of the enterprise.
  • Utilize business architecture frameworks such as BizBOK to guide best practices and governance.
  • Leverage enterprise architecture tools to document, analyze, and communicate business architecture artifacts.
  • Align business architecture with enterprise architecture and technology roadmaps.
  • Communicate business architecture insights and recommendations to senior leadership and project teams.
