About The Position

Voted one of Chicago's Best Places to Work by the Chicago Tribune for the ninth year in a row, Clarity Partners is hiring! Clarity Partners is seeking an Enterprise Architect local to Chicago, IL. This role will lead enterprise architecture strategy and governance efforts supporting a large-scale healthcare environment. The Enterprise Architect will collaborate with executive leadership, IT stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to define and implement scalable, secure, and modern technology solutions aligned with business objectives. This individual will drive architectural standards, oversee technology modernization initiatives, and ensure interoperability, compliance, and long-term sustainability of enterprise systems. This position will report in a hybrid setting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field required. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience designing, developing, or supporting enterprise technology solutions.
  • 5+ years of experience in enterprise architecture, solution architecture, or related leadership roles.
  • Experience working within large healthcare systems or highly regulated environments preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF and cloud frameworks such as Azure Cloud Adoption Framework.
  • Experience with public cloud platforms (Azure preferred), infrastructure design, networking, virtualization, and automation.
  • Understanding of APIs, middleware, databases, clustering, servers, and storage technologies.
  • Familiarity with healthcare interoperability standards such as FHIR, HL7, and X12.
  • Experience with IT governance, cybersecurity standards (NIST, CIS, SOC, ISO 27001, HITRUST), and regulatory compliance.
  • Proficiency with SDLC methodologies and development languages such as Java, C#, Python, or PowerShell.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence executive and technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to align technical solutions with financial objectives, ROI, and cost optimization strategies.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Define and evolve enterprise architecture strategy across application, data, infrastructure, integration, and security domains.
  • Evaluate projects to ensure alignment with enterprise standards, technology roadmaps, and business objectives.
  • Develop architectural blueprints, diagrams, and modernization roadmaps to guide implementation teams.
  • Establish and enforce architecture governance, lifecycle management, and compliance standards.
  • Partner with executive leadership and IT teams to align technology investments with organizational priorities.
  • Assess emerging technologies and industry trends to inform long-term digital health strategy.
  • Ensure solutions meet regulatory, security, and interoperability requirements (HIPAA, NIST, ISO, etc.).
  • Oversee cloud architecture initiatives, including public cloud adoption and infrastructure modernization.
  • Mentor technical teams and promote enterprise architecture best practices across the organization.
  • Integrate risk management, cybersecurity, and compliance into architecture frameworks.
  • Support IT service management (ITSM) and SDLC best practices across Agile, Waterfall, and DevOps environments.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
