About The Position

The Enterprise Account Executive is responsible for selling United Communications’ data, voice, and off-net solutions to enterprise, wholesale, government, and emerging market customers. This role manages the full sales cycle, identifying prospects, building relationships, developing solutions, and closing opportunities while supporting a seamless customer experience within a rapidly growing regional ISP. Success in this position requires a driven, collaborative professional with strong organizational, negotiation, and problem-solving skills who thrives in an innovative, team-oriented environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the areas of responsibility listed above.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in telecommunications or broadband sales.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage existing accounts and close new business through networking and cold calling.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals as an individual contributor.
  • Strong presentation, persuasion, and negotiation skills.
  • Highly motivated with the ability to succeed in a rapidly growing company and industry.
  • Self-starter who can work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to clearly explain complex situations to colleagues and customers with varying levels of technical knowledge.
  • Strong computer skills, including advanced word processing and email proficiency, and the ability to review and analyze data in company systems. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

  • Strategically generate new leads with targeted businesses through various prospecting activities, including cold calling, canvassing, customer referrals, and partner relationships. Actively promote and position the United Communications brand within the assigned territory.
  • Collaborate with engineering, network operations, and construction teams to develop and structure solutions that deliver value to customers.
  • Develop accurate and timely forecasts of sales opportunities.
  • Create and deliver sales presentations demonstrating strong knowledge of United Communications products and services.
  • Lead customer meetings regularly with the ability to build rapport, open opportunities, and understand the business needs of senior decision makers.
  • Cultivate local partnerships and organizational affiliations to positively promote the United Communications brand within the communities we serve. Actively participate in community events and service opportunities.
  • Maintain and strengthen customer relationships by regularly following up with existing customers to ensure service and product satisfaction.
  • Demonstrate understanding of the technical aspects of our services and engage customers using a consultative sales approach while staying informed on processes and industry trends.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to support shared goals and contribute new ideas.
  • Prioritize the customer experience by consistently acting in ways that place customers first.
