About The Position

The Enrollment and Insurance Coordinator is a self-motivated, energetic, and reliable individual who will handle multiple projects at once, has the initiative to handle routine responsibilities, and works as a member of the back-office team.

Requirements

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Thorough understanding of medical insurance.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Extremely proficient with technology, seen as expert and ability to train others
  • HIPAA rules and regulations pertaining to patient confidentiality and dissemination of information will be followed.
  • 1+ year of professional experience in a medical office
  • Experience with EMR (electronic medical records), medical terminology, and coding is preferred

Nice To Haves

  • Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA), CNA, or Dental Assistant preferred

Responsibilities

  • Answering phone calls, creating appointments, directing the calls as required and handling all queries
  • Supporting and maintaining the EMR filing system for all patient documents and reports submitted
  • Collaborates with CareLink stakeholders to establish schedules and plans that allocate available resources to best serve client or customer needs.
  • Answering emails and other electronic messages as required
  • Assist with processing patient billing
  • Perform file system and database management
  • Handle faxes and mail
  • Prepare reports, invoices and memos
  • Helps patients by providing information, services, and assistance.
  • Maintains medical supplies inventory and performs preventive maintenance to keep medical equipment operating.
  • Verifies patient information by interviewing patients, recording medical history, and confirming purpose of visit.
  • Secures patient information and maintains patient confidence by completing and safeguarding medical records; completing diagnostic coding and procedure coding; and keeping patient information confidential.
  • Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by establishing and following standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations.
  • Keeps supplies ready by inventorying stock, placing orders, and verifying receipt.
  • Supports and assists Providers by preparing equipment, traveling, and assisting in patient care as needed
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading professional publications.
  • Serves and protects the practice by adhering to professional standards, facility policies and procedures; and federal, state, and local requirements.
  • Enhances practice reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
  • Performs other related duties, as required.
