About The Position

The Enrollment and Family Relations Manager leads the school's enrollment strategy while building strong, meaningful partnerships with families and the community. This role oversees student recruitment, analyzes enrollment trends, and develops family engagement programs that support student success and retention. As a key member of the school's leadership and enrollment team, the Manager exercises independent judgment and provides strategic recommendations that influence school-wide planning and decision-making.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Experience in enrollment management, student recruitment, parent/family engagement, or community outreach.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead programs, initiatives, or teams.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to build effective relationships with diverse students, families, and community partners.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, enrollment or CRM systems, and virtual meeting platforms.
  • Successful completion of a criminal background check (required).
  • Ability to travel between school facilities as needed.
  • Strong customer service and public relations abilities.
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times.
  • Strong organizational skills; able to manage multiple priorities and interruptions.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in stressful or challenging situations.
  • Familiarity with Board of Education policies and school procedures.
  • Strong interpersonal skills; able to interact effectively with diverse students, families, staff, and community members.
  • Commitment to workplace safety practices and procedures.
  • This position may require occasional evening or weekend hours for events and community outreach.
  • Some local travel may be required.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze demographic and enrollment data to forecast trends and recommend strategies to school leadership.
  • Serve as a member of the school's leadership and enrollment team, providing guidance on community relations, family engagement, and enrollment initiatives.
  • Lead cross-functional teams or committees related to enrollment, family engagement, or community partnerships.
  • Develop and maintain policies, procedures, and standards for student recruitment and family engagement.
  • Establish measurable outcomes for engagement initiatives and report findings to school leadership.
  • Represent the school in external partnerships, community boards, and professional associations related to recruitment and outreach.
  • Approve exceptions or make determinations on unique enrollment or retention cases.
  • Recommend new technologies, systems, community events, or vendors to enhance recruitment, communication, and engagement processes.
  • Develop and execute outreach strategies to recruit new students, including attending community events, school fairs, and information sessions.
  • Manage the admissions process from inquiry to enrollment, ensuring timely communication with families.
  • Conduct tours, virtual information sessions, and orientation events for prospective students and families.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create recruitment materials and social media content that reflect the school's mission and programs.
  • Track recruitment data, inquiries, and conversion rates to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Build and maintain partnerships with community organizations, feeder schools, and local agencies to promote enrollment.
  • Create and curate engaging social media content that promotes school programs and activities.
  • Increase parent involvement by working closely with school, parent, and community organizations.
  • Serve as a liaison between families and the school to facilitate communication, address concerns, and build trust.
  • Conduct outreach to engage parents in their children's education and strengthen home-school connections.
  • Convene regular parent meetings and events focused on key topics of interest and concern to families.
  • Attend parent meetings with the principal as appropriate.
  • Support parents in re-establishing and maintaining a Parent Teacher Organization (PTO).
  • Maintain ongoing contact with community organizations that provide services and support aligned with the school's educational mission.
  • Organize back-to-school nights, family engagement events, and community activities that create a welcoming environment for parents and families.
  • Work closely with school administrators, counselors, and teachers to support family communication and student success.
  • Provide regular reports on recruitment goals, engagement activities, and enrollment trends.
  • Participate in staff meetings and contribute to strategic planning related to enrollment and retention.
