About The Position

Global Language Strategies seeks a freelance / contract linguist (legal translator and or editor to perform legal services for a United States Government client. Must possess at least three years of experience translating and or editing legal content with a knowledge of correct legal and technical terms in English and the source language. Applicants must be U.S. citizens willing to undergo security clearance processing

Requirements

Three years of experience providing professional legal language services to governmental clients
Extensive legal language service experience is required
Bachelor's degree in a foreign language, linguistics, or comparable field required
Must be able to use CAT tools (if translator or editor); experience using Trados preferred
Excellent organizational skills and understanding of language services
Advanced proficiency in reading/writing/listening and speaking in English and the target foreign language(s)
Available during 9-5 EST most days to take on-demand assignments
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
U.S. citizenship
Willing to undergo security clearance processing
