About The Position

The Ohio State University at Newark seeks a 100% FTE 9/12 lecturer to teach First-Year English Composition courses in the 2026-2027 academic year. Responsible for facilitation of in-class learning activities, assessments (i.e., quizzes, exams, and homework if applicable), offering of weekly office hours, submission of grades, and resolution of any ongoing student or course issues.

Requirements

• Master’s degree or equivalent required in English or related area.
• Experience teaching first year English composition at the post-secondary level at a regional campus
• Understanding of the unique needs of regional and non-residential students
