About The Position
We announce the following TEACHING vacancy in Rochester Community Schools for the 2025-26 school year. Applications will be accepted until filled. ELD (English Language Development) TEACHER HAMPTON ELEMENTARY 1.0 FTE
Requirements
- Must hold valid Michigan Teaching Certificate in area of responsibility with appropriate endorsement (NS)
- Bachelor’s Degree in area of major study.
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
Nice To Haves
- English Language Development teaching experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Design and implement daily lesson plans
- Provide individualized and/or small group instructions for students in the English Language Development program
- Provide guidance and support to teachers regarding appropriate accommodations and scaffolds for multilingual learners
- Administer state required assessments and screeners for multilingual students
- Attend professional learning focusing on multilingual learners as assigned
- Collaborate with other English Language Development staff members
- Collect and analyze data relevant to multilingual students
- Build upon the cultural and linguistic assets of English Learners to support equitable educational opportunities
- Maintain records per the requirements of state and federal supplemental grants
- May involve daily travel between two buildings
- Other duties as assigned
