Engineering Testing Technician

About The Position

Job Responsibilities: Learn all aspects of the safe operation of our test equipment. Ensure safe operation at all times while following all NOV HSE procedures. Monitor and perform required maintenance and repairs of the equipment to ensure equipment reliability. Perform daily inspections to keep equipment in proper working condition. Participate in Engineering Project meetings as needed to support testing efforts. Be flexible with Engineering teams to accomplish testing goals recognizing that many tests will never have been run before. Creativity and a can-do attitude to find ways to safely accomplish testing goals as required. Maintain a high degree of attention to cleanliness and the organization of the test areas. Other responsibilities as required Qualifications: Formal higher education is not required. Experience in a shop environment, heavy equipment operation, downhole tool function testing, data acquisition and maintenance knowledge is a plus. The most important requirements are attitude, an aptitude to learn to safely operate the equipment, a willingness to learn, a desire to continuously improve and a passion for safety. Being a self-starter is a must, as well as an ability to keep a positive attitude in an ever-changing testing environment.
