The Engineering and Technology Manager is responsible for planning, designing, and overseeing engineering projects, managing financial aspects, and supervising engineering teams. This role demands engineering expertise, leadership, personnel management, and business acumen to deliver commercially viable products or services. It involves applying mechanical engineering principles such as mechanics, thermodynamics, fluid and aerodynamics, materials science, and structural analysis, utilizing tools like CAD, CAM, and product lifecycle management. The manager will oversee engineering and scientific activities across various job families or functional teams, ensuring products meet customer, safety, and environmental requirements.

Requirements

  • Strong engineering expertise with knowledge of mechanical engineering disciplines
  • An understanding of physics, chemistry, mathematics, and materials science as applied to mechanical systems
  • Proficiency in CAD, CAM, and product lifecycle management tools
  • Experience managing engineering teams and cross‑functional activities
  • Leadership skills combined with financial and business acumen
  • The ability to ensure compliance with customer, safety, and environmental requirements
