About The Position

Engineering Technologist II - Wire Harness Quality Assurance Description Job Title: Engineering Technologist II Primary Work Location — Warren, Michigan Basic Purpose: Engineering Technologist II to take care of all quality activities related to customers concerns and help as needed on assessment and solution of reported problems during early product phases and normal production at Stellantis Warren Truck Assembly Plant (WTAP) and T1s locations. Job Duties and Responsibilities: To be in contact with customer quality representatives to review any problem reported during the launching phases and current production at customer location (End Items / WTAP) and T1s. Review with the manufacturing facility and all different involved teams any problems reported by the customer during the launching process and/or normal production. Closely monitors customer quality results, perceptions and makes judgements regarding necessary actions during the new products launching phases. Provides feedback to the responsible organization and assures required improvement activities. To perform any rework and/or material certification at customer locations. Provide clean point information after any quality issue reported at customer locations. Provide support as needed to the Quality Resident Engineer during early product phases & current production .

Requirements

5-7 years experience in automotive quality assurance or engineering
High School Diploma/GED, and Technical Certificate
Knowledge of automotive OEM structure, manufacturing and technical demands and customer requirements and relationships and procedures
Ability to read and interpret Engineering drawings, product specifications, procedures and standards
Able to travel domestic and international
Some on-call and/or shift work is necessary and expected as necessary to support customer requirements
Proficient in standard MS office PC/software applications and automotive OEM web applications

Nice To Haves

Working knowledge of automotive EDS systems and components and reasonable proficiency in automotive technical trouble-shooting/failure analysis is strongly preferred
