About The Position

Monte Sano Research Corporation (MSRC) is a Huntsville-based Small Business specializing in providing full-spectrum defense system engineering, research, design, development, integration, test, evaluation, and planning services to the U.S. Government.

MSRC is seeking a full-time Engineering Technician to join our missile guidance integration and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL) test team. In this role, you will work closely with our HWIL engineers to prototype, test, and validate next-generation missile guidance technologies.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in an aerospace, defense, or R&D manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers, and environmental chambers.
• Certified solderer for workmanship (IPC-J-STD-001).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, SharePoint and Teams.
• Detail-oriented self-starter with strong work ethic required.
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast paced environment.
• Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Active Secret DoD Clearance or eligibility to obtain clearance.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, modify, and fabricate complex mechanical/electro-mechanical prototypes based on engineering drawings, schematics, and rough sketches.
• Set up, maintain, and operate test equipment for performance and debugging of components and subsystems.
• Perform troubleshooting, data analysis, and lab maintenance tasks.
• Develop technical documentation of experimental setups, procedures, and test results.
• Develop and maintain safety documentation for laboratory operations.
• Support HWIL missile guidance tests for various Army weapon systems.
