As an Engineering Technician, you will spearhead OEE improvement projects that will directly impact the efficiency of the production lines. You'll collaborate with engineering teams to improve reliability and minimize downtime, increase first pass yield, and reduce cycle time. You’ll assist with Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs) and Site Acceptance Testing (SATs), which may require international travel for the first few months. Take part in Kaizen events across the factory to improve OEE (Availability, First Pass Yield, Throughput) Work with engineers to drive down bottlenecks on the production line Design and fabricate simple fixtures and production aids Learn internal tools to diagnose product and equipment failures, identify root causes, and communicate corrective actions Develop Manufacturing Instructions for processes and take part in training operators and other technicians Work with production datasets to identify patterns and present solutions using tools like (Python, MySQL, Minitab, JMP, etc.) Previous hands-on experience with hand and power tools, high & low voltage systems, wire harnesses assembly and repair, mechanical components, electro-mechanical devices, soldering irons, wire crimping tools, DMM multi-meters Able to interpret drawings and 3D CAD, and able to read mechanical & electrical drawing diagram-schematics, harness drawings. Experience in CAD (ex. CATIA, SolidWorks) and/or electrical design (ex. Altium), fabrication /machining, 3D printing, and laser cutting equipment are preferred but not required Comfortable with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word) English language writing, reading, and speaking proficiency Ability to travel internationally for the first few months Essential Physical Demands The role requires the ability to perform physically demanding work for extended periods, up to 12 hours a day, in a variety of environments Standing, walking, and moving on uneven terrain Frequently and repetitively, lifting 30 pounds and carrying 20 pounds up and down stairs Working in awkward positions, such as kneeling, crouching, or crawling Wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required, including safety glasses, shoes, and bump caps, and adhering to safety rules and guidelines
