Our engineering group based in Gloucester; MA is looking to grow our team of technicians in the implant systems group. Experience in the semiconductor industry is desired, but not necessary. Individuals with a passion for learning, operating, troubleshooting, and maintaining high tech systems in a team-oriented environment will find a rewarding opportunity as part of our team. Applied Materials' implant systems portfolio includes line-of-sight beam line systems and plasma doping. These systems deliver leading-edge beam angle control, dose control, uniformity, and wafer-to-wafer repeatability. The successful candidate will perform machine testing and maintenance on Ion Implanters and RF Plasma Systems. Candidate must take direction from management staff (Physicists and Engineers) and be able to independently provide expertise to accomplish assigned tasks. Must have the ability to communicate effectively and interact with a diverse project team to collect, compile, maintain and interpret data and test results accurately.

Responsibilities

  • Observe all safety standards, and actively strive to work safely to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Work with cross-functional teams (various engineers and scientists) to solve high-value problems for customers and assist in new product development.
  • Work from schematics, diagrams, written procedures, verbal instruction, layouts or plans to perform testing and troubleshooting.
  • Assist engineers and scientists as they create, modify, test, and develop Ion implanters, RF plasma systems, and other semiconductor equipment.
  • Conduct engineering tests, collect test results, and relay data back to the team
  • Utilize strong written communication skills to maintain logbooks
  • Identify specification issues with an eye for technical accuracy and thoroughness.
