About The Position

Bowhead Logistics Management, LLC seeks a Engineering Tech II for the Letterkenny Army Depot, Chambersburg, PA location. The Engineering Technician II performs standardized or prescribed assignments involving a sequence of related operations, follows standard work methods on recurring assignments but receives explicit instructions on unfamiliar assignments. Technical adequacy of routine work is reviewed on completion; non-routine work may be reviewed in progress. This technician performs at this level, one or a combination of such typical duties as: Following specific instructions, assembles or constructs simple or standard equipment or parts, servicing or repairing simple instruments or equipment; Conducting a variety of tests using established methods, preparing test specimens, adjusting and operating equipment, recording test data, and pointing out deviations resulting from equipment malfunction or observational errors; Extracting engineering data from various prescribed but non-standardized sources, processing the data following well-defined methods including elementary algebra and geometry, and presenting the data in prescribed form. Essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Following specific instructions, assembles or constructs simple or standard equipment or parts, servicing or repairing simple instruments or equipment; Conducting a variety of tests using established methods, preparing test specimens, adjusting and operating equipment, recording test data, and pointing out deviations resulting from equipment malfunction or observational errors; Extracting engineering data from various prescribed but non-standardized sources, processing the data following well-defined methods including elementary algebra and geometry, and presenting the data in prescribed form. Must possess a strong desire to provide excellent customer service solutions and interact with coworkers and clients in a courteous and professional manner. Must be motivated to perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of one-three (1-3) years’ experience in the position applied for (referenced above).
• Must have cost estimator skills.
• Must have extensive knowledge of blue prints.
• Must have experience with tech writing
• Must be able to perform basic mathematics.
• Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English.
• Must have a good working knowledgeable of Army regulations; systems, programs, policies, nomenclature, work methods, manuals, or other established guidelines.
• Must be able to pass a background investigation and gain access to military installations.
• The position is on a federal military installation. Candidates/employees will need to drive onto the military installation to gain access to the respective building for their position.
• Must have intermediate computer knowledge of internet software; spreadsheet software, word processing software and MS Office Suite
• Must be able to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts
• Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team
• Must be able to obtain a security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location

Nice To Haves

• Ability to perform advanced mathematics is preferred
• Experience working at Letterkenny Army Depot highly desired.
• Candidates with an active Secret are highly encouraged to apply.
